From the September 1st, Orange will rename these rates as Orange Base, where there will be five rates for mobiles, and another two for fiber and mobile packs, as well as another for 4G at home. The name of all of them will be the corresponding price to be paid, which is the same as currently enjoyed by Orange customers.
New Orange Base mobile rates
Thus, the mobile rates become the following:
- Orange Base 6.95: calls at 0 cents per minute (18.15 cents for call establishment) and 8 GB of data for 6.95 euros per month. The rate offers 4 GB more than in Amena.
- Orange Base 9.95: unlimited calls and 12 GB of data for 9.95 euros per month. The rate offers 2 GB more than in Amena.
- Orange Base 14.95: unlimited calls and 24 GB of data for 14.95 euros per month. The rate offers 4 GB more than in Amena.
- Orange Base 19.95: unlimited calls and 30 GB of data for 19.95 euros per month. The rate offers 5 GB more than in Amena.
- Orange Base 24.95: unlimited calls and 40 GB of data for 24.95 euros per month. The rate offers 10 GB more than in Amena.
As we can see, the figures of gigs change with respect to what was initially announced, where those of 9.95 only improve 2 GB, but those of 6.95 receive double gigs. The rest of the rates also considerably improve their conditions.
Orange Base fiber and mobile rates
In the case of fiber and mobile rates, we find the following two:
- Orange Base 35.95: 100 Mbps fiber with 25 GB of data and unlimited calls for 35.95 euros per month. The rate offers 5 GB more than in Amena.
- Orange Base 40.95: 100 Mbps fiber with 30 GB of data and unlimited calls for 40.95 euros per month. The rate offers the same gigs than in Amena.
As we can see, Orange Base 40.95 offers the same gigs, but see its price reduced by 5 euros with respect to what the rate cost before with Amena. Amena customers will be able to change to the Base rate they want once they have migrated.
Customers with fiber and mobile offers will be able to add additional mobile lines at greatly reduced prices. The line with unlimited calls and 12 GB will cost 5 euros per month, and the line with unlimited calls and 24 GB will cost 7.5 euros per month. Those gigs will be shared with the main line.
4G customers keep 60 GB
In the case of users who have the 4G rate at home with Amena, will now have the 4G Data Base Rate at home for the same 29.95 euros as now, with 60 GB of data. Those who had 100 GB, will have 60 now. Users will be able to contract the other 4G rate at Orange’s home with unlimited data for 10 euros more, or they can always unsubscribe from Amena.
In short, we see that there are quite a few improvements for Amena customers, where the additional gigs compensate for the loss of the accumulation of GB from month to month, and the additional gig that was given by seniority in the operator. Another thing that is lost is in the speed once the gigs are spent, which goes from 64 Kbps in Amena to 16 Kbps in Orange. SMS will be included, and roaming will have the same gigabyte limit as the national rate.
