In order to stop customer churn, Aliexpress is advertising a way to reward them in case there is a delay in their deliveries.
The idea is that, if a product does not arrive within a period of 10 business days, the company will pay its customers the amount of one dollar, this only for certain international shipments.
This strategy is subscribed, mainly, on two extremely important dates: November 11, singles day, and, above all, November 26, when this year’s Black Friday will take place.
In addition, the Asian giant experienced a significant flight of customers, who, given the delay in shipments, decided to opt for Chinese stores.
The arrival of the pandemic last year has represented a huge challenge for companies in terms of their international sales business. The closure of borders and with the intention of avoiding contagions, all travel around the world had to be stopped until further notice.
As is known, until a few months ago, the situation improved a little in this regard and now, despite the fact that the pandemic has not ended yet, life as we knew it before the arrival of Covid-19, is having a kind of resurgence.
Of course, the reactivation in the industries is taking place gradually and with important prevention measures to continue preventing the spread of the virus between people.
In that sense, although daily life is experiencing a great return, there are still some issues that will not be able to fully recover in 2021, and that is where companies like Aliexpress and others, such as those that sell toys, will have a significant delay in delivery of your products for Christmas.
Against this background, Wang Mingqiang, global CEO of Aliexpress, is launching a great challenge for the company, with which he is promising to deliver within 10 business days.
As part of this strategy, in countries like Spain some sorting centers have already been set up to further shorten product delivery times. Likewise, in others such as France, Germany and Italy similar centers will also be located to prevent customer flight.
It should be noted that these centers have the capacity to handle half a million packages per day, which is expected to considerably reduce waiting times for consumers.
In this way, in case the Aliexpress packages are delayed, the company will pay a dollar per order, although, to make this kind of promotion valid, these packages will have to have left their warehouses in Cainao (with a connection to the center logistics from Liège directly).
