All the characters in Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) have their charm, however the villains are the ones who always win the hearts of their fans as this Doma cosplay demonstrates. The photos shared on the official account of weilanran’s instagram they recall the demon’s first appearance in the anime, seemingly playful and almost carefree.
Until you remember that Doma is a deadly member of the Twelve Demon Moons and realize she just had a terribly messy meal. An image from the set references this when the cosplayer raises a pale, limp arm to his lips. Despite this, there are fans everywhere in the comments asking to be eaten by him. And who could judge them on work as detailed and impressive as Weilanran’s?
In his Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) Taming cosplay Weilanran not only put together an accurate version of the second upper demon moon’s characteristic black and red outfit, with his dripping bloodstain design, the Chinese cosplayer also perfectly captured Doma’s poses and expressions. Doma might appear to be a friendly and charismatic individual, but far from reality, he was deadly and calculating. Under the belief that he was saving them from her suffering, he happily devoured her followers and other young women. While he might seem concerned for his comrades, he felt no genuine sorrow for his deaths.
Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) An amazing Doma cosplay
There are differences in the Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) Doma cosplay outfit that weilanran chose for her shoot compared to the one Doma wears in Gyutaro’s flashback, and this is because the cosplayer wears an outfit that is only shows in the manga so far.
With the props and softly lit backdrop used to complete the shoot, this Doma cosplay is an ode to everything ethereal yet terrifying about the character, from her dignified attire to the contrast created by her razor-sharp fan.
Given that Doma’s initial appearance took place a century before the current story timeline, we can be sure that she has become an even greater threat that demon hunters will have to face. But if weilanran’s Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) Taming cosplay has proven anything, it’s that beauty can be quite deadly, and it’s beauty we’ll be glad to receive.
