According to SMN data, the third heat wave has presented historical records and averages from June 1 to 20, 34.8 degrees Celsiuswith which it has exceeded 34.2 degrees in June 2017 and 34.1 in June 2019.
Given these conditions, the SMN recommended that the population take preventive measures such as avoiding prolonged exposure to solar radiation, hydrating adequately, paying special attention to the chronically ill, children and the elderly, as well as following the indications of the Health and Civil Protection sector. .
He also warned that punctual torrential rains (from 150 to 250 millimeters (mm) are expected for Friday in regions of Chiapas, and intense in areas of Oaxaca and Tabasco.
