New images of the canceled game boba fett“Star Wars 1313“, show new details about the science fiction title that could not be. The game was intended to present a more gritty and grounded vision of a galaxy far, far away, although the purchase of LucasArts by Disney in 2013 led to the unfortunate cancellation As a successor to LucasArts’ Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, a 2002 action game starring Jango Fett, Star Wars 1313 would have put players in the boots of Jango’s iconic son, Boba Fett.
Despite the cancellation of Star Wars 1313 in 2013, many details about the adventure have subsequently been released. Apparently, the game would have focused on the early years of boba fett as a space bounty hunter, with combat centered around the iconic character’s arsenal of weapons and gadgets. Star Wars 1313 would also have introduced players to a seedy underground area of Coruscant, level 1313. Often compared to Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series, the game would have combined fast-paced shooter combat with big action scenes. Although fans often ask developers to re-release canceled Star Wars games like 1313, the game is currently considered dead.
A never seen video with gameplay of Star Wars 1313posted on YouTube, shows the boba fett of the canceled game and level 1313 of Coruscant. The footage shows Boba Fett donning her iconic armor and stalking the crowded streets of Coruscant’s underground. An action-packed chase scene follows, with Fett running, jumping, and sliding across rooftops in search of her latest target. The Star Wars 1313 demo ends with a look at some ongoing combat animations, giving a glimpse of close and long-range encounters.
Although Star Wars 1313 may be a lost project, the beloved sci-fi series has plenty of other interactive titles in the works. Publisher Electronic Arts has recently announced several new games from starwars, all of them developed by Respawn Entertainment. One of these projects will be a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a single-player action game set for release in 2019. Respawn will also develop a first-person shooter and a strategy game, both set on the sprawling Star Wars galaxy, although unfortunately Star Wars 1313 has not yet received a renewal or succession.
Even though Star Wars 1313 was canceled years ago, new gameplay footage and information about the project keep popping up. This new clip gives fans a better idea of what the full experience could have been like, with boba fett traversing the dark alleys and huge rooftops of level 1313 in search of rewards. Although the project unfortunately never sees the light of day, the general concept of Star Wars 1313 could be used to create a modern Star Wars game.
