A young woman turned on the risk alerts that still exist when renting through Airbnb and her “terrifying” story quickly went viral on TikTok, where fans agreed with her that her life could have been at great risk.

And it is that, although the clip was from July 2020, according to an Airbnb spokesperson, just a few days ago it was published on the social network with the caption: “A terrifying experienceirbnb”.
The video shows how about seven people gather in front of the kitchen window to see an unknown man walking in the direction of the rented house… desperation begins when he resolutely heads towards the garage.

In the texts you can read that the host was not sure who that man was and asked the young man to “kindly” tell the person with whom they booked since “the garage is a place that is rented.”
Even the host was unaware that the man had a key to the place, so the only thing he could think of was that it could be the cleaner, so he told one of the friends: “ask him to call me immediately”.
However, the young man refused at the time and replied flatly: “We do not feel safe, especially if you are not sure who is in the house.”
By this time the unknown man had already parked his car in the driveway and was unloading groceries through the garage, but the host still didn’t believe what was happening.
“Honestly, I don’t feel safe anymore, we want our money back, we’re leaving”said the boy.
To end the video, you can see how, when they start to feel confident again, the group of friends is terrified when they see that the door handle turns by itself… the man had his own key and was about to enter the house where they were having fun.

According to the comments on TikTok, Enriquez explained that there was an extra room in the back of the house, but that it was not revealed to them when renting on Airbnb, much less told that someone else would be staying in the house. backroom on the same date as them.
However, the Airbnb spokesperson told Newsweek that, on the booking page, it did stipulate a guest suite at the back of the house.
But users of the social network disagreed and commented that the host acted inappropriately and that it was even against the platform’s policies, which stipulate that hosts are responsible for accurately describing the ad and being available. to resolve any problem that may arise during the stay, as well as to reimburse Airbnb for any amount in extreme cases with this.
“I worked for Airbnb as a resolution agent and that is against their policy. I hope this host has received their notices in their account and they get their money back,” wrote a follower, who explained that after three or four complaint notices the rental site is removed from the Airbnb list.
