Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero It is still valid in different movie theaters around the world. While the franchise continues to accumulate box office, fans who have already seen the film, released for more than two months in Latin America, are slowly learning its secrets.
The most recent, courtesy of Akira Toriyama’s statements reviewed in Hobby Consolestalks about the new transformation of the great Piccolo.
Along with Gohan, the Namek gained prominence in the recent tape written by Akira Toriyama, produced by Toei Animation and directed by Tetsuro Kodama.
Specifically, to defeat the new threat of the Red Patrol, represented by a Cell MaxPiccolo executed a new transformation which they named Orange or simply orange.
How did you achieve it? She then gathered the dragon balls and asked Shenron to help her awaken the power that she had hidden. Even with the ability to choose to overcome his own strength, the Namek told the iconic dragon to enhance what they already had deep within him.
It’s those little details that make Piccolo one of the most incredible warriors in Dragon Ball. It’s no coincidence that he is the series writer’s favorite character.
Why the orange color on the skin of the transformation?
It seems unusual, but it makes a lot of sense. As Akira Toriyama explains, Piccolo’s change in skin color is because he doesn’t have hair. So, due to this feature, the mangaka made him more robust and changed his green to the new hue in the transformation.
“Because he doesn’t have hair, I can’t modify it for the transformation, so I made him much more robust and colored him orange, to further distinguish him from his base form. Despite this, there may be times when it is difficult to differentiate it from its normal form. Perhaps I should have made it more exaggerated, but personally I love that it has obtained a power capable of rivaling that of Goku and the others. Orange Piccolo’s name is typical of Piccolo, since he doesn’t have very good taste in naming, does he?”
