It has finally come out for all the public, the new Valve Steam Deck console has made its official debut, with some users already having it in their possession and trying all kinds of things, from games to emulators. As a result of the above, it is that a YouTube channel managed to emulate the original Xbox on the new Steam Deck, with surprising but poorly optimized results.
Through the YouTube channel called The Phawxhave uploaded a video with the execution of an emulator of the original Xbox, running on the new Steam Deck. The emulator is called “Xemu”, and it is a free open source application that works on PC. The user manages to install Windows on the console, being able to run such an emulator with somewhat poor results.

Steam Deck battery life is much less than we expected
As we can see in the video, the game Conker: Live & Reloaded is clearly seen with low fps, with jerks at certain times that tarnish the gaming experience. This is obvious, considering that it is not an official game that has been given support for the console, but rather an emulator that could perfectly have flaws in its port. Despite this, it is extremely remarkable that the console can run games from other platforms, greatly increasing its catalog and functionality.
While this is the only way to play Xbox games at the moment, this may change in the future, as previously Valve’s Gabe Newell said he would be delighted to work with Microsoft on bringing Game Pass to Steam. It would be a dream for Xbox fans, who could play all of the service’s titles on one powerful, portable console.
