One of the strengths of the television series Obi-Wan Kenobi is the return of Hayden Christensen to the franchise starwars to give life to Darth Vader. However, it seems that things could go even further.
In a recent interview, Christensen left the door open for more appearances in the future, though without fully confirming it.
The extent of this journey, I think, remains to be seen. But what is a privilege is to be able to come back and do this, and be part of this project.
Until now, Christensen had only very briefly played Darth Vader in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, since in the rest of the films he gave life to the other side of the coin, Anakin Skywalker. Now, the actor can fully put himself on the other side, and that for him is a real joy.
When George Lucas hired me for the prequels, it was to play Anakin. He’s named Darth Vader towards the end, and for a couple of scenes I was able to get into the suit. But my journey with the character was as Anakin Skywalker. But the character? He is a complex character. And now, being able to explore the mentality and emotional state of Darth Vader, it’s been a lot of fun.
