The CW has ordered the pilot for Gotham Knights, a series that will follow the Batfamily after the loss of Batman.
Entertainment Weekly reported that The CW has given the green light for the recording of the pilot for the Gotham Knights series.
On the site, it is reported that: “DC’s new series Gotham Knights is an hour-long drama based on the popular DC comics of the same name. The series will revolve around the Batman characters, but it is not a spin-off of Batwoman, which is currently airing its third season.”
Although a video game of the same name is in development, the show is not inspired by it: “It is also not based on the upcoming Gotham Knights video game (scheduled for release in 2022).”
The series will executive produce Chade Fiveash, James Stoteraux, Danny Cannon, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden, and co-executive produce Natalie Abrams.
