Consumer found that, in Soriana, a kilo of mole poblano is sold for more than 400 pesos; In his report, on Twitter, he asks if it is a “handmade” or “imported” product.
These are still times of pandemic and contagion by Covid-19, mainly from the Omicron variant, which, until now, has been the most contagious in these almost two years since the world experienced a major confinement.
Despite the fact that the situation seems more controlled, especially if we compare it with 2020 and 2021, the recommendations continue to be, of course, try to avoid going out to parties, concerts, supermarkets, among other places, in order not to get infected. or, failing that, infect others.
Based on this premise, one of the places that receives the most people every day are supermarkets, such as Walmart, Bodega Aurrerá, Soriana, etc.
In that sense, whether due to consumer preference or simple convenience, the truth is that, today, Soriana is one of the most popular stores and one of the fastest growing in recent years.
According to information from Statistical, the Mexican supermarket chain Organización Soriana was the second supermarket chain with the largest number of stores in Mexico among the leading companies in the industry in 2019, only below Walmart. Of a total of 810 stores operated by the organization, 380 were Soriana Híper – the format with the largest commercial space.
Now, we must not forget that we live in a moment in history in which social networks have practically modified our behavior; Leaving home without a cell phone is, today, one of the uncommon practices, especially for those who share all kinds of experiences through their social networks.
That is why, at present, it is not surprising that these types of complaints reach directly to social networks, a place where consumers deposit their experiences with a brand, both positive and negative.
To mention an example, on February 6, the tweeter @JPLACIDOE He claims to have found in Soriana a kilo of mole from Puebla with a value of 466.44 pesos, a fact that, without a doubt, caught his attention and he decided to report it on his social network.
In his tweet, the user even ironizes about the high price of a kilo of mole from Puebla, asking if, perhaps, it is an “artisanal” or “imported” product.
@TiendaSoriana Hey Soriana, the mole they sell there is handmade or what’s up??? Or is it imported? pic.twitter.com/my7XxQqvI0

As we know, Twitter has become that window for consumer complaints, who, for several years, have decided to place their claims left and right, even when they might not make much sense or, failing that, cause damage. important truth.
The relationship of brands and/or companies with consumers is not easy, it is constantly hanging by a thread, and although it is true that social networks have helped maintain a more direct line of communication, the reality is that these spaces are necessary for the consumers.
In the end, the use of social networks is personal and each user is responsible for their words and/or content, and in this sense Twitter, as we mentioned at the beginning, has become that space for complaints and claims where consumers they can feel, in some way, in “trust” due to the immediate interaction they can have with the companies.
This only reflects the opinion of the consumer and the conversation that it generates in the digital pulse, for which Merca 2.0 requested the position of the brand in order to tell both sides of the story; however, so far it has not been received. The note will be updated in case of a response.
