EA pronounces on the matter of a possible acquisition
The pirate-themed Ambrose Island level in Hitman 3 has been available since the end of July 2022, and players have been scouring every square inch of the new map for secrets and the like. The Easter Egg related to Monkey Island in Hitman 3 is about the tomb of Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate, the protagonist of the legendary Monkey Island adventure game series.. While this is a curious nod to IO Interactive, the team went a step further with a special set of goodies for players.
In what appears to be a reference to the upcoming Return to Monkey Island series finale, players can obtain some doubloons and a unique saber from the Ambrose Island tomb of Guybrush Threepwood. To do so, Agent 47 needs to find a torch and light four special braziers scattered around the level. Later, you can grab a shovel and dig up a chest in Threepwood’s grave that will contain said items. The call “Jarl’s Pirate Saber” should prove effective in dispatching other enemy pirates.
