The companies behind the big leagues, such as LaLiga, the Premier League or Serie A have teams dedicated to blocking pirate IPTV pages, and they always come out ahead in cases where they request to block domains. The last to obtain a favorable result has been Series A, or in this case, Series B.
Series B blocks 16 pages of pirated IPTV
Serie B is the second division of Italy, currently known as the BKT series. In Italy it is issued through Sky Sports and DAZN, but as with Serie A, there are many platforms that pirate their matches and offer them illegally without properly licensing it.
Although the name of the blocked websites was not disclosed, in total they have locked 16 different addresses. The blocking of domains or IP addresses is a measure that is often used to force operators to block access to content, forcing users to use VPNs or proxies. Websites tend to bypass this block by creating new URLs.
For this reason, the blocking order is dynamic, similar to those found in Spain. With them, operators can block IP addresses without having to go back to trial, so they can do so just hours or days after they are created. This is the case as long as those domains are from the same website, since, if the website is different, then it is necessary to restart the entire judicial process.
From Series B they celebrate this dynamic blockade, and affirm that it is necessary to protect their product and all those who pay to license it. With it, all operators in the country will have to block access to the domain and new domains that are created later, and it will be active at least for the duration of the season 2021/22 current.
Access to cheap sport attracts customers
The objective of blocking these types of portals is hinder access to pirated IPTV to users. The problem is that, even if the operators of these services are stopped or the domains are blocked, there are always alternatives to access the content illegally.
Many of the users who hack are difficult to convert to paying customers if there is no accessible market options. For example, this year the audience of F1 in Spain has tripled when included in DAZN, since the access barrier is lower.
