The leaks of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have been popping up on the internet non-stop for the last two weeks, with some legitimate leaks from tried and trusted sources, and other leaks that are much more questionable.
However, if the new leaks of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are believable, it seems that some of the fan-favorite features that have been mainstays of the Pokémon franchise will not be present in the new games when they launch later this year.
This information comes from a leaker known as Kaka. Some of his claims have been backed up by proven leakers of Pokémon Scarlet and Violetso while fans should take the information with a grain of salt, the claims carry more weight than other random leaks that appear on the internet.
In any case, the leak suggests that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet You won’t have fishing and you won’t be able to ride a bike. Fishing has been used in Pokémon games for years as one of the main ways players encounter Water-type Pokémon.
Otherwise, the only way would be to “surf” on water, which is an ability that has traditionally come later in games. Assuming the leak is true, it will be interesting to see how Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will match up against Water-type Pokémon.
The leaks also claim that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will not have a bike for players to ride. Like fishing, cycling has been a mainstay in the main Pokémon series games, usually as a way for players to increase their movement speed, which has sometimes been necessary to progress in certain areas.
But while cycling apparently won’t return in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, leaks suggest there will be an alternate method of commuting in the games.
Leaks say that the Legendary Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be rideable by the player, using them as the equivalent of the bicycle. This makes sense, as both Koraidon and Miraidon have what appear to be wheels on their chests, and some are already comparing their designs to bikes.
However, the question remains when exactly fans will meet the Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as they have traditionally been saved for the end of games.
