Since Movistar decided to have the cheapest fiber in Spain, at least in a promotional way during the first 9 months of the contract, events have precipitated in its main rivals such as Orange and Vodafone. This means that we are seeing prices to contract fiber that seem more like second brands or any MVNO in our country. Currently, having 600 megabytes in Spain has prices as striking as 14.90, 18.95 and 20.49 euros of Movistar, Orange and Vodafone.
Every so often, the great operators of our country are framed in a bloody battle within the continuous war that they have maintained for years. Sometimes they bet on throwing prices in unlimited data, others in convergent rates that combine fiber and mobile and others, as in this case, in fiber-only modalities. Since September, we have never seen before promotional prices for the 600 mega symmetric modalities.
Movistar Conecta 600: 14.90 euros per month
The one that started this whole price battle is Movistar that put Conecta at a demolition price in September and that now has raised the stakes by offering Movistar Conecta 600 for 14.90 euros per month for 9 months from the hiring for new fixed broadband registrations. The price once the promotion has ended is 44 euros per month and is applied for new registrations before October 25, 2021. The promotion is incompatible with previous promotions lasting more than 6 months on any Movistar product or service in the last 12 months.
In the case of customers who have other rates, but want to contract Movistar Conecta 600, the price will be 38 euros for the first 3 months and then they will pay the usual 44 euros of this rate. Again, it is a valid promotion until October 25, 2021. If we do not have fiber coverage, we will have ADSL or 3G / 4G / 5G radio access with the same conditions depending on the case in which we find ourselves.
Orange Fibra 600 Mb: 18.95 euros per month
Orange took a while to react, but then he did it in a big way. In this case, until November 1, 2021, it allows us to contract, new registration or portability, both in direct and indirect fiber coverage with VULA technology, the 600 Mbps symmetric fiber connection for 18.95 euros per month for 12 months. This is 3 months more than Movistar, although in exchange for a little more monthly fee.
Once the promotion is over, the price will go up to 40.95 euros per month. The French operator reminds us that the promotion is not compatible with migrations from Amena to Orange or with rate changes in Love packs. In addition, it also clarifies that it is incompatible with offers that include Orange TV. 12 month stay.
Vodafone 600Mbps Fiber Optic: 20.49 euros per month
Vodafone does not want to be left behind in this battle and has raised a 50% offer on its 600 mega fiber fee. This means that the price stays at 20.49 euros per month for the first 9 months and that, after the promotion, we have to pay 40.99 euros per month. One of the main differences is that we have landlines with unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles included in the price.
The Vodafone offer is valid for new registrations and portabilities that take place until October 25, 2021. As with Movistar, it is not valid for existing fixed, mobile, or fiber telephone customers. We have a 12-month stay and, if we cancel early, we will pay the proportional part of the 150 euros for the installation of the fiber optic service. We also have 300 Mbps fiber for 15.49 euros the first 9 months and then 30.99 euros.
