According to information from the new Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), the place will have an area of premises for various types of business, agreed mainly for fast food restaurants, coffee shops, fashion stores, retailers, self-service stores, banks and exchange houses, craft stores, car rentalairport services and many complementary souvenirs for travelers.
Since the offer is wide, applicants must meet a basic list to be one of the representative brands in the areas intended for passengers.
Requirements to rent a place in the AIFA
In accordance with the AIFA and the shared requirements for people interested in renting a place within the airline headquarters, companies or entrepreneurs who want physical representation in the place must:
- Be registered with the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP).
- Have brand registration (if you have one), identification and experience support.
- Submit a letter of intent containing: trademark and company name, telephone and email of the person in charge, verifiable business experience, tentative date of start of operations, contact address, line of business and interested space to request (in square meters ).
Not for everyone… locals also raffle
Although the requirements do not seem to be something from another world, they do not guarantee the rental of a commercial space in the AIFA, since they are only required to enter a “contest” process that the federal government will carry out to raffle space between the marks.
For now, information shows that the initial rental price is 488.10 pesos per square meter, from that, it will be offered to those who are willing to pay a little more, since the surface of the spaces will depend on the commercial line for which it is grant permission and the area you choose, since the spaces range from 13 to 1,027 square meters.
“The base rental price per square meter is 488.10 pesos, hence what you offer upwards gives you greater chances of being awarded one or the premises you want”, has exposed AIFA communication.
Another option is to present a technical proposal explaining the business project and announcing the offer they make per square meter, or in their case, their intentions to pay with a percentage of not less than 15% of the monthly income of the business.
