The boss of the Diet and Nutrition Center (CDN) of the School of Diet and Nutrition from ISSSTE, Cristina Rodríguez Márquez, indicated that these conditions are more prevalent among women between the ages of 14 and 18 and have increased among men of the same age.
He pointed out that, through the CDN, care is provided to beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries with a specific protocol that includes diagnosis, intervention and individualized treatmentaccording to the state of health and routine of each patient.
“At the center we have a trained psychologist who applies some tests to define and know what is the best intervention. If the support is not enough or the eating disorder is in a very advanced stage, it is recommended to see a psychiatrist.
