The Secretary of the Interior of Mexico, Adam Augusto Lopezassured this Tuesday that “There is nothing that cover” on the health of the president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obradorwho is recovering from his third contagion of covid-19.
There is nothing to hide, we have said from the first moment what the situation is and that the president is recovering ”,
said the official, who replaces the president in the morning press conferences of the Government.
López also clarified that the Mexican president did not go to any hospital in the country for treatment of the disease because, he said, after the positive test he isolated himself to avoid infecting someone else.
No (he went to a hospital). Him it was performed (the covid test) at the air base facilities Merida Yucatan, where meetings are held every 15 days and, later, when he arrived in Mexico City, he was informed of the result of the analysis”,
pointed.
The Secretary of the Interior, who holds the highest ranking position after the president, said that the rumors that exist that López Obrador has something other than covid-19 are the product of misinformation.
Of course, there are voices that feed on misinformation, as one of the books or possibly the most read book in the history of humanity says: those are the ones with rotten souls ”,
opined.
He also reiterated that the Mexican president is in “full recovery” and when the covid-19 test is negative “it will already be present”.
Rumors about the president’s health have increased after López Obrador has not issued any message since he reported his covid-19 infection on Sunday while on a tour in Yucatán, in the southeast of the country.
Civil organizations and opposition politicians have demanded transparency about the health of the 69-year-old president, because he had already fallen ill with covid-19 twice, the first in January 2021 and the second in January 2022.
In addition, the Mexican ruler suffers from hypertension, in January 2022 he had a catheterization, a heart scan, and in December 2013 he suffered an acute myocardial infarction, for which he then had coronary surgery.
