One of the requests from Sykrim players was to be able to use the stairs correctly and a modder has made this a reality.
Although Skyrim was one of the most interesting and acclaimed installments of Bethesda in terms of details, we must not forget that many things have happened since its launch in November 2011. Of course, the gameplay was one of the points that most favored the title, thanks to its wide open world and everything that the most experienced players could be found in almost 150 dungeons full of secrets and enemies. Although it should not be forgotten that the graphics also gave the title their respective touch: a gloomy and snowy appearance that invades the extensive territories of Tamriel.
In this way, it is that the fifth installment of this Bethesda saga not only received applause and praise from all sides, but after a decade it has continued to be the target of some debates or discussions about the missions; as we previously saw on Reddit a player explain that the concepts of “help” within Skyrim could be a bit twisted, while showing Thane’s title obtained for murdering the matron of the Honorhall Orphanage. In this mission to help some of the people of Eastmarch, the option to become an anti-hero is quite questionable within the narrative, but it continues to surprise other players who had never considered that the rewards in the open world were bound to become a murderer.
Possibly what you have just read, in case you were not aware, gives you an idea of everything that the Skyrim game offers and answers the question of why after so long it is still in the mouth of many fans. But this is not the only reason why he is still talked about.
The mod that allows you to achieve better exploration in Skyrim
It is very likely that players will continue to find details that make them understand the story better or make them rethink what they have been playing since then, however, mods are also essential content for Skyrim. In this regard, an impressive number of modders have continued to help the ARPG grow. Some examples of them are intended for animal fans, who can already pet a dog; or another that already allows rejecting marriage proposals (named “Immersive Rejections” with condescending phrases and even ones that would make any player in love suffer, eligible among 100 lines of dialogue.
So many creations we have seen parade through Skyrim. Each of them allows impressive things, but in this case it seems to be too simple, although, of course, it means a lot to the community.
This new mod allows you to ascend and descend stairs in Skyrim. As shown on the game’s sudreddit, the series of mods already allow this action to be performed properly. But “Everglaid’s animated traversal mod” does more than just help them climb. It also allows players to climb over walls, climb ledges, go through tight spaces, and duck under some obstacles., among others. And they can be added to various places determined by the modders.
The animations resulting from the mod, you can see them in the following video:
Nexus prompts are detailed enough. Namely, once you’ve installed it, the mod displays commands like “climb” whenever you get any chance to explore the open world. And, as they explain, the purpose of the content is “not to leave aside the basic platforming, but to help expand the design of complex levels related to non-linearity”.
For its part, Everglaid is not the only person responsible for making this possible. The modder “mfvicli” has been working hard to improve the animations which correspond to the general indications of the original mod and extends its range in other areas of Skyrim. Initially, the patch could only be experienced in a dungeon intended to demonstrate the mod’s features, starting with a quest called “Flat-Footed”. In other words, it’s defined as “a light-hearted, fast-paced quest that takes lore into account, with custom assets and a vertical dungeon layout.”
From the looks of it, the creators have made an effort to find a solution to some physical problems within the world of Skyrim and that, moreover, facilitate the experience in their scenarios. It is possible that Bethesda will take as a reference some of the most valuable mods for The Elder Scrolls VI currently in development. But, without a doubt, players still have plenty of time to continue inventing while the sixth installment is released.
