Intelligence is not only reduced to academics but is a combination of many other abilities.
The American psychologist, Howard Gardner, studied the development of abilities in children and the way in which the different capacities are decomposed in cases of brain damage and also observed how each of the intelligence manifested within the culture of the individual.
Linguistic intelligence
It is considered one of the most important. Both hemispheres of the brain are used and it is what characterizes writers. The wide use of language has been an essential part for the development of this type of intelligence.
Musical intelligence
Known as? Good ear? it is the talent that great musicians, singers and dancers have. This type of intelligence must be stimulated to develop its full potential.
Mathematical logic
The logical hemisphere of the brain is used and can be devoted to the exact sciences. Of the types of intelligence, it is the closest to the traditional concept of intelligence. In ancient cultures, it was used to formulate calendars, measure time, and accurately estimate quantities and distances.
Space
It is held by people who can make a three-dimensional mental model of the world or, failing that, extract a fragment of it as in engineering, surgery, sculpture, the navy, architecture, design and decoration.
Corporal-kinesthetic
They have the ability to use their bodies to solve problems or perform activities. Here are athletes, surgeons and dancers and it is a natural aptitude that manifests itself as a child.
Intrapersonal
It allows us to form a precise image of ourselves, understand our needs and characteristics, as well as our qualities and defects.
Interpersonal
It allows us to understand others and to know how to manage human relationships, empathy with people and recognizing their motivations, reasons and emotions that move them.
Naturalistic intelligence
Biologists have developed it the most. It is the ability to study our surroundings and to be able to look at the natural aspects with which we live.
