Orange’s throne will not last long for having the cheapest fiber offer, and whose war are also unexpectedly starring Movistar and Orange, in what seems like a late round of back-to-school promotions.
The same operators who complain about the fierce competitive environment of the Spanish market have been engaged in a new front for weeks to attract new fiber customers, promoting long-lasting discounts with which it is possible save more than 70 euros per year if you compare with the cheapest MVNOs. First it was Movistar, Vodafone and Orange responded, and now Movistar is tightening the nuts again.
Fiber without permanence, for 14.90 euros per month
It will be from Monday 18 when Movistar will relaunch its promotion for new fiber-only contracts, with which it will now be possible to contract the Conecta rate with fiber to 600 Mbps symmetric for 14.90 euros per month during the first nine months.
As Movistar’s is the only one of the offers that has no permanenceIt will be the cheapest if you hire it for nine months or less. On the other hand, the price for the whole year would be 266 euros, so the 227 euros that you would end up paying for Orange, or the 232 euros for Vodafone, would continue to be cheaper.
Beyond the price, Movistar and Orange offer higher fiber speed, Vodafone is the only one that includes calls from landline to mobile, and Orange the only one that includes router with WiFi 6.
The conditions of fiber only promotions from Movistar, Vodafone and Orange, compared to the cheapest fiber connections from OMVs such as Digi or Finetwork, are as summarized in the table:
Fiber | Permanence | Price | |
---|---|---|---|
Movistar | 600 Mbps. | 0 months. | 14.90 euros / month (9 months) |
