Just yesterday we were able to see Kingdom Hearts IV for the first time, the new installment of the famous Disney and Square Enix franchise. Many of us were surprised by this announcement, and especially its artistic direction, since it could be seen much more “simple” compared to previous installments, something that has already been confirmed that it will only happen in the world in which Sora is in the trailer. Furthermore, we have known that the visual quality of Kingdom Hearts 4 will be much higher thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
It was in an interview with the Japanese medium Famitsu (via VGC) where the developer of the title has argued that, although the game is in the early stages of its development and has used Unreal Engine 4 until now, the team has transitioned to the new iteration of the Epic Games engine and thanks to this, the visual quality will be obviously superior.
