They could have become the competition of palmolive either Dovebut they ended up measuring themselves against giants like Samsung and Sony. This is the curious story of LG, a company that began by manufacturing chemical products, such as toothpaste, and ended up being a reference in technology.
The company was born in 1947, as Lucky Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd, at a time confused by wars and conflicts in South Korea, as he recalls computer today. In its manufacturing chronology we find coherence between technological products or household appliances, from the year 68 to the present.
However, some 20 years before that is the unusual, the time when they made toothpaste, soaps and other products for personal and household cleaning.
The thing was little by little. First, while they were supporting themselves in the area of chemical products, they tried the first electrical appliances such as radios and televisions in the 50s. They did it on a trial basis without knowing that it would be a whole world that they would not abandon anymore.
It only took 10 years for LG to become the first South Korean TV manufacturer. Then, with the leadership of the national market, they began to stomp the international arena.
The rest was history. Just as televisions and radios arrived when they were dedicated to chemical products, they expanded to include household appliances such as washing machines, air conditioners, and refrigerators.
And with the new era, mobile phones and computers appeared, along with advances in televisions in which they venture into the development of innovative technologies, such as OLED screens and other advances in the electronics industry.
