This filmmaker is behind spectacular documentaries like GASLAND (2010), an extraordinary piece that exposes the fracking and that it earned him an Oscar nomination; and How to let go of the world and love all the things that climate change cannot change (2017), a moving piece that also earned him recognitions and nominations.
His career led him to be named by Bernie Sanders as part of the Democratic Platform in 2016 and from that position he was able to promote historic laws to eliminate fossil fuels with a view to opting for 100% renewable energy. Giorgia Lupi
This Italian does what not many can: she is in charge of transforming data into designs that anyone can understand. She claims that she sees beauty in data and that her challenge is to design engaging visual narratives that reconnect numbers with stories, people, and ideas. Sounds simple right? Lupi’s great work as an information designer has given her a space at the Pentagon in New York.
Among his diplomas is a Master in Architecture and a PhD in Design at the Politecnico di Milano. Lupi is a co-founder of Accurat, an internationally renowned data-driven design company and a co-author of books such as Dear Data and Observe, Collect, Draw – A Visual Journal.
