What does the Tacubaya Plan consist of?
There are two treaties that bear the name of Tacubaya Plan. One was issued in 1857 and the other in 1911. Due to the context of the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution, we will focus on the second.
This plan was a pact that was launched on October 31, 1911. His objective was to ignore the government of Francisco I. Madero due to the lukewarmness of his mandate, as well as for failing to comply with the demands of the people who put him in power.
Likewise, in this plan Emilio Vázquez Gómez was proclaimed president of Mexico.

Causes and consequences
The main reason why the Tacubaya Plan was proclaimed was due to the discontent generated by the government of Francisco I. Madero. And the fact is that the majority of the leaders had supported his candidacy, believing that, as soon as Madero came to power, social, political and economic injustices would come to an end.

However, Madero showed a very moderate and even passive attitude towards making such long-awaited changes. Leaders such as Francisco Villa, Emiliano Zapata and Pascual Orozco accused him of not complying with the demands of the San Luis Plan and also of being too soft with the Porfirian authorities.
For this reason, after months of government, the leaders ignored Madero and made new statements to take up arms. Two of them were the Empacadora Plan and the Tacubaya Plan.
Both plans were unknown to Madero, but in the Tacubaya plan Emilio Vázquez Gómez was proclaimed as the legitimate president of Mexico.
Those who wrote the Tacubaya Plan were the journalist Paulino Martínez with the help of Francisco Guzmán and Policarpo Rueda. This happened on October 31, 1911.
However, contrary to what they expected, this plan did not have any success or significant support, so the proclaimed Emilio Vazquez Gomez He had to flee the country. For his part, Paulino Martínez allied himself with the Zapatista movement.
