The 2022 season arrives with a new technical regulation and 10 teams eager to meet their ambitious goals. Mercedes defends the constructors’ championship and Max Verstappen the drivers’ championship, with Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso as Spanish representatives.
Mercedes faces this year the challenge of achieving the constructors’ world title for the ninth consecutive time, although Red Bull Racing promises to become the new reference after winning the drivers’ championship with Max Verstappen.
And all this has to be defined in a 2022 season that starts again in Bahrain and that must have a total of 23 Grand Prix distributed over 9 months of competition in which the grid once again has two Spanish drivers: Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonsowhich defend the colors of Ferrari and Alpine respectively.
