The Ring is a Western remake of Hideo Nakata’s Japanese horror film Ringu (1998), based on Koji Suzuki’s novel of the same name, who helped co-write both film adaptations.
As fans of the film remember, the plot centers on Rachel Keller, a journalist who must find a way to escape death after watching a cursed tape that apparently kills the viewer seven days after viewing it.
