The fashion of bringing the great classics of video game history to Unreal Engine 5 It doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon. Week after week we keep getting videos and projects made by fans with such pleasant surprises as this one: the GTA 3 remake.
Nothing to do with the remastering that rock star left us last year, the TeaserPlay video is a collection of assets and arrangements that leave us with honey on the lips of a remake that, most likely, we will never play.
The GTA 3 remake in UE5 that we will never play
The funny thing is precisely that, far from completely embracing photorealism, the video does not completely abandon that aspect of cartoon and strange shapes that the original treasured, but it does stay in a pleasant middle ground more successful than what was done in the remaster.
Of course, I do not quite understand who has thought of making such narrow streets, because driving around reading the subtitles and avoiding the police has to be to shoot yourself in the temple.
If you like the concept, don’t hesitate to take a look at the TeaserPlay channel, which in addition to reimagining what remakes of other games in the franchise would look like GTA, is also animated with the recreation of other past and future sagas. We leave you with the video.
