A few months ago, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes and Resident Evil 7 would receive a free update for next-gen consoles later this year. These new versions would incorporate all the technical improvements introduced in Resident Evil Villagesuch as higher resolution, ray tracing, etc, although without giving a specific release date, other than that they would arrive this year.
Now it looks like the next gen versions of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 would be about to reach our consolesthanks to a clever Twitter user, under the nick of TheBatMan.
This is what the remake of Resident Evil 4 could look like
As this user has been able to find on his Ps5, the store already shows the existence of this next gen version if you use a physical disc of Resident Evil 3 (something that did not appear until now), which suggests that the arrival of this update is imminent. Unfortunately, even with this it is still not possible to download it.
The next gen versions of Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 would be available very soon
Resident Evil 3 Remake went on sale in March 2020 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Ps4, Ps5 and Microsoft Windows.
