Ssangyong has officially announced the UK commercial launch of the revamped Musso. A model that brings with it novelties in terms of design and equipment. All this accompanied by a varied range in which different trim levels are available. Under the hood is a powerful diesel engine and a 4×4 drive system.

How has the design changed? Just take a quick look at the images in this article to discover what’s new in design. Being a mid-cycle update, the changes are concentrated on the front. The new Musso features a new chrome grille flanked by slightly wraparound, horizontal light clusters.
Leaving aside the exterior, if we go inside we will find a cabin in which up to five adult passengers can travel. It is available with a double cab body. The range consists of four trim levels. Are the endings FORMER, Rebel, Saracen and Rhino. Also, there are extended battle versions.
The “nerve center” of the cabin is a 9.2 inch touch screen. The more modest versions have an 8-inch screen. The infotainment system offers a high level of connectivity. It is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, there is TomTom navigation. To this must be added Bluetooth and DAB digital radio.
The diesel engine of the new SsangYong Musso 2021
With regard to the mechanical section, the main protagonist is a diesel engine. If we take a look under the hood of the new Musso we will find a 2.2-liter e-XDi220 diesel engine that develops a power of 181 hp and 420 Nm of maximum torque. It can be associated with a Manual gearbox six speed or one automatic transmission
with the same number of relationships.
If you opt for the manual gearbox, the new Musso can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.3 seconds, while if we opt for the automatic transmission, it will take 11.9 seconds to complete the aforementioned sprint.
The system 4×4 drive is the great protagonist. To improve efficiency, the all-wheel drive system is selectable with power permanently delivered to the rear wheels and the front-wheel drive electronically dialed in as needed. The system also includes hill descent control and hill start assist.
Marketing of the new Musso is already underway in the UK. The starting price is £ 23,495 (€ 27,520). As standard, it comes with a 7-year or 150,000-mile (241,402-kilometer) warranty, as soon as it is fulfilled.
