Prototypes of the new Range Rover plug-in hybrid, which debuted in spy photos just a few weeks ago, has reappeared at the Nürburgring. The new model, which will be released in 2022, has begun to lose camouflage, revealing its new features.
The first spy photos of the new Range Rover PHEV 2022 We showed them to you just a couple of weeks ago. The plug-in hybrid SUV prototype made an appearance after a long time of development without news of this more efficient version.
The same version of the Range Rover has also reached the circuit of Nurburgring, a more advanced and less camouflaged prototype that already reveals some more discovered details. Not the case with the LED headlights, which stay well covered even though we’ve already seen a completely new light signature. It is the front bumper that already shows the lower grille that crosses the entire bumper, offering a more defined view.

The new generation of Land Rover’s mighty off-roader has also lost camouflage at the rear. Large tailgate reveals clearer shapes, thanks to the loss of the parts that deform the design, making the gate lighter. The pilots stay hidden, but the photographer’s expertise shows the position of the rear indicators housed in the tailgate.
The prototype of the luxurious British model continues to maintain other more covered details, such as the rear glass surface or the entire side, although the integrated door handles are appreciable too. The interior, which we have already seen in other spy photos a few months ago, will not present any special differences because it is a plug-in hybrid, beyond the special configuration of the instrument panel and the corresponding driving modes.
Betrayed by all the electrical hazard stickers, the new Range Rover PHEV will feature a plug-in hybrid set powerful, with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor, and the performance of a V8. Land Rover will offer a lithium-ion battery that will have generous capacity to provide a maximum range of 100 kilometers in electric mode.
