porsche has stepped up the accelerator of the development process of a major update for its first SUV Coupé. The Porsche Cayenne Coupé will soon undergo a facelift. A mid-cycle tune-up that will allow this generation to face the rest of the commercial life that lies ahead. In recent months we have been closely following the renewal project for the Cayenne range.
The new Cayenne Coupe
has been photographed, once again, in broad daylight. However, unlike previous sightings, a prototype sporting the new taillights has been caught. An important detail that shows how advanced the project is and, in the same way, that news is coming in terms of exterior design.

The first thing we should point out is that not only one specimen was caught carrying out road tests. A prototype of the new Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT. Therefore, the most efficient and exclusive combustion version will remain in the range. However, and in the case of the Turbo GT variant, as can be seen in the snapshots that illustrate this article, it still equips the old taillights.
Camouflage is not the protagonist on the outside but it does make an appearance. As it is a facelift, the changes in the design will be concentrated in the front and rear. Especially in both optical groups and in the bumpers. What’s more, porsche
will take advantage of the release of this update to increase the level of customization with new body colors and wheel designs.
Leaving aside the exterior, if we had the opportunity to enter the interior of the new Cayenne Coupe, in addition to being surrounded by a luxurious atmosphere, we will also find news. It will premiere digital instrument panel, multifunction steering wheel and gear lever. An increase in technological equipment in terms of connectivity and security is also foreseeable.
The electrified engines of the new Porsche Cayenne Coupé 2022
Gasoline and electrification will be protagonists in the mechanical section. Porsche will resort to 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) technology with the aim of reducing the levels of emissions and consumption of the different engines that will make up the offer. There will also be different plug-in hybrid versions (PHEV) as an alternative more committed to sustainable mobility.
When will it hit the market? The debut in society of the new Cayenne Coupé is just around the corner. It is expected to be unveiled early next spring. And as usual in the German brand, practically immediately upon its entry into the scene, the order book will be opened. The first units will be available from dealers before the end of the year.
