The new Maserati GranTurismo has already been completely uncovered. The Modena brand has just presented the new generation of this sports car that becomes the access model to the Trident product range. Two very sporty versions, along with the unprecedented fully electric Folgore make up its catalogue.

The Trident brand has completely uncovered the little camouflage that has dressed the pre-production prototypes in this second generation of the two-door sports car. A model developed completely from scratch, which will reach the market at the beginning of 2023 with interesting news.
The stylists have preserved the elegant proportions of the Italian, with muscular wheel arches, a long bonnet and a rear-set passenger compartment, characteristics typical of classic sports cars and with measures that will offer ample space inside the new GranTurismo. It measures 4.96 meters long and has a wheelbase of 2.93 metersadding 80 millimeters more in the first level and 10 millimeters less between the axes, compared to its predecessor.

Its new platform, of new invoice, has also allowed it to reduce the weight considerably, thanks to the combination of light materials with aluminium, magnesium and high-resistance steel in the structure, which means a weight on the scale of 1,795 kilograms, compared to 1,880 kg of the previous model. The new GranTurismo also has all-wheel drive and a more even weight distribution, with 52% on the front axle and 48% on the rear. A configuration that has allowed the engineering department to place the engine in a lower position, reducing the center of gravity, while leaving room for the front differential.
The front features the large grille occupying the entire bumper, with large air intakes in the case of the sportier variant of the GranTurismo Trofeo and with decorative details of exposed carbon fiber, along with more upright headlights that inherit the modern styling of the MC20. A design of the headlights that serves to highlight the lines of the bulky wheel arches. Maserati’s signature three gills are found on the front wings, while the rear features sleek taillights and four exhausts grouped in two pairs at each rear end.
Performance and luxury in the new Maserati GranTurismo
In the case of the most radical GranTurismo Trophy, these are separated by a prominent diffuser with very marked aerodynamic channels that account for higher performance. Maserati has not shown the luxurious interior, although we know that it will have a digital instrument cluster which will change according to the selected driving mode – to choose between “Comfort”, “GT”, “Sport” and “Corsa” – and a state-of-the-art multimedia system, the “MIA”. from which all the comfort, connectivity and chassis adjustment systems will be controlled. The trunk has a capacity of 310 liters.
The firm, which is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2023, will offer two versions: GranTurismo Módena and GranTurismo Trofeo. Both will have the powerful “Nettuno” gasoline engine, a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo block with maximum power of 490 hp Y 550 hp, offering truly dizzying performance: from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds in the Modena -3.5 seconds in the Trophy- and a top speed of 302 and 320 km/h, respectively. change is eight-speed automatic in both versions.
