Apple continues to make changes to achieve a 100% sustainable business in 2030!
Apple continues to take steps to get closer to its goal of eliminate the use of plastic by 2025. Thus, and as announced in this Tuesday’s keynote, the iPhone 13 case will be plastic free. Of course, and as is common with every bitten apple ad, the new packaging has already been leaked, before the start of shipments, this September 24.
By removing the plastic from the iPhone case, Apple hopes to save 600 metric tons of plastic. As you can see in the image leaked through the Twitter account @ duanrui1205, the packaging designed they have a paper tag that keeps it closed, instead of the more resistant cover that we used to open in our house or see in the unboxings.

Apple debuts plastic-free iPhone 13 cases
Apple’s decision to eliminate plastic from the iPhone 13 cases is not the first modification of the device case, in the interest of the environment. Last year, Apple decided to stop including chargers to significantly reduce the size of the boxes and make 70% more boxes on a single pallet. Today, both decisions align with the ultimate goal of having a net zero climate impact across the business by 2030.
According to the company’s goal for 2030, all Apple devices sold, from component manufacturing, assembly, transportation, consumption, cargo, to recycling and material recovery, they will be 100 percent carbon free.
Undoubtedly the change will offer a new experience when opening the next iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max that can be book from this friday, on the Apple Store Online.
