The new BMW M3 CS 2023 has just made an appearance at the Nürburgring. The most extreme variant of the sports saloon has launched its test program on the German track, with very significant details. A true beast that will satisfy true fans of the model from the spring of 2023.
Until now, it had not been seen as closely as on the Nürburgring circuit. The prototypes of what will be the true icing on the cake for the current generation of the BMW 3 Series have appeared on the German track to launch their particular, and special, test program that will last for almost a year. Garching’s firm has a long time ahead to adjust all the configurations of what will be one of the most radical sedans in its category.
The new BMW M3 CSL 2023 It has been presented with the front clothing inherited from the most radical M4 CSL that is practically in the final phase of its set-up. Heavily camouflaged but exposing the open grill of the two-door model, and a bumper packed with air intakes, plus a thin carbon spoiler on the lower lip of the defense, the details that will distinguish it from the M3. But that’s not all, because the headlights also have the same light signature as the M5, with yellow daytime running lights.

Equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, the still future M3 CS 2023 still does not have the camouflaged rear, an area that will also receive a more gross image, especially the bumper. The rear bumper is the same as the M3 M Competition, but expect a few special details in the lower sectionbetween the exhausts. At the same time, the drivers will also present the restyling that is being implemented in the 3 Series Saloon range.
But this prototype presents a couple of very interesting details. Those of BMW M have made sure that the rear window has a special tint that prevents seeing its interior, at the same time that the rear windows are vinyl for the same purpose. And it is not that it dispenses with rear seats as we have already seen in the new M4 CSL, but because the usual continuous bench has been eliminated and replaced by two independent sports seats. The same configuration offered by the exclusive big brother, the M5 CS.
The new M3 CS will take the powerful 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine to a new level of performance, without the invaluable help of electrification. Compared to the M3 M Competition, you will receive a small increase in power up to 540 hp. Of course, it will only be offered with xDrive all-wheel drive and with the eight-speed sports automatic transmission. The new M3 CS will be one of the last great novelties of the 50th anniversary of the BMW sports brand, seeing the light of the spotlights at the end of 2022 and making its world market debut, no unit limit end spring 2023.
