The BMW iX1 already has a price in Spain and is ready to carry out its disembarkation process at the dealerships. A model that will be available from next November. It will arrive shortly after the new BMW X1 with thermal engines does the same.
The “little brother” of the iX3 will play a leading role in the BMW range and is set to boost the company’s fully electric vehicle sales. He will have to face, among other models, the Audi Q4 e-tron and the Mercedes EQA. To differentiate itself from these, and other electric ones, the new iX1 boasts technological equipment and, above all, performance.
The range and equipment of the new BMW iX1
BMW has structured the iX1 range into a single model. Its about iX1 xDrive30, although we will talk about the propulsion system later. Despite the brief mechanical offer, the brand will allow you to choose a whole series of options during the configuration process. Colours, rims, upholstery, moldings and, of course, equipment.
Between standard equipment of the new iX1 we find 17-inch light alloy wheels, leather-wrapped multifunction sports steering wheel, rain sensor, automatic lighting, four USB type C ports, electric windows, central locking with remote control, LED headlights, cruise control with braking function, forward collision warning system, rear view camera and the BMW Live Cockpit Plus system.
The autonomy of the new BMW iX1
Regarding the propulsion system, the new iX1 will land in dealers accompanied by a single engine. The xDrive30 model. The “heart” of the German SUV is a 64.7 kWh lithium-ion battery whose main objective is none other than to supply energy to the two motors, one per axis. By equipping a motor on each axis, the iX1 xDrive30 boasts a configuration of all wheel drive.
The power reaches 230 kW (313 hp) and 494 Nm of maximum torque. Thanks to this, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 180 km/h. And what is more relevant, it declares a autonomy of up to 438 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. The average consumption is situated, in the best of cases, at 17.3 kWh at 100 km respectively.
