The unveiling of the new BMW 7 Series has already begun. The latest prototypes spotted in these spy photos reveal less dense camouflage and new details. Two units that equip the sports package M Sport and equipped with specifications for the USA.
BMW has already confirmed that the world debut of the new generation of the 7 Series will take place this year, but has not set a specific date yet. A development that is beginning to reach the end and as these new spy photos of the flagship show in which new details are revealed.
A couple of prototypes hunted in the surroundings of the Munich plant that, in the first place, correspond to the model that will be sold in the United States. And it is enough to see the obligatory retro-reflectors mounted on the arches of the front and rear wheel arches, as well as inside the headlights, it can also be seen. A second factor of these interesting spy photos is that these are unit tests of the “M Sport” sports package. Although it is not the first time that this more sporty guise has been seen in the new 7 Series, it is the fact that it looks more uncovered and its details are more evident.

Both are plug-in hybrids, although the second is one of the top versions of the range, the unprecedented “M750e xDrive”, standing out for its elegant and sporty trapezoid-shaped exhaust trims and divided into four chrome tips, housed in a special insert in the rear bumper, whose lines are also noticeable in a very special way at the height of the license plate.
The blue brake calipers, typical of the sports package, are already more visible on both axles -previously only on the front- while on the front the design of the bumper can be seen more clearly. The bottom with a large air intake in the shape of an inverted trapezoid, divided by sections and with additional fine vertical gills at the ends of the defense. A more aggressive style for an avant-garde design that will present the new «G70», as it is known internally.
The comprehensive unveiling of the new BMW 7 Series is scheduled for later this spring, going on sale before the end of the year. As we have been telling you throughout its development, the range will have gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines, in addition to the electric i7. In particular, this PHEV version will be one of the most powerful, with the performance of the 4.4-liter biturbo V8, although its entrails will be very different: the sum of a 3.0-liter biturbo inline six-cylinder block and an electric motor. to overcome the 560 hp, a battery that will provide a high electric autonomy, all-wheel drive and 8-speed sports automatic transmission.
