Leaked earlier this summer in China, the prototypes of the BMW 3 Series Facelift 2023 have stormed the streets of Munich in disguise to test the dynamics improvements and the different equipment of the model. A few first spy photos with the new design hidden under the vinyl.
Dynamic tests on real traffic of the BMW 3 Series LCI 2023 have already started, with these first spy photos of the plug-in hybrid version hunted around the Munich headquarters. Camouflaged one of the most important models of the Bavarians, the images show some very interesting details that were not present in the leak that occurred of the model sold in China.
Then, we could barely see the renewed front image of the BMW model, sporting some new slimmer headlights that had lost the bottom edge jog, launching a new lighting signature with an inverted «L» shape among Full LED projectors. The bumper also featured a new design, now with a large central air intake and a cleaner design on the sides. Well, now, you can also see thin and double vertical bars closer together in the double radiator grill.
The BMW 3 Series Facelift 2023 will bring great news
The touches on the back also give a new air, because although the design of the pilots has been preserved, the distribution of the light functions has been redesigned, retaining the elegance and sportiness of this saloon, along with a revised rear bumper with new shapes and a cleaner look. Minimal changes as usual by the German brand, but that will be greater inside.
The G20, as it is known internally, will make a significant leap on the interior, as it will feature the modern dashboard debuted on board the i4, with a large digital display occupying the instrument panel and the touch part of the center console. A more luxurious equipment that will offer an extremely sharp vision, despite its slightly curved design as in the new BMW iX. The Series 3 will also benefit from latest advances in connectivity and advanced driving assistants.
The updated BMW 3 Series will be presented at the end of next spring, getting on sale in Europe in the second half of the year as a 2023 model. BMW will not make major changes to the gasoline and diesel models with which it is offered, so the range of engines will not have new features in terms of power and performance. Plug-in hybrids will benefit from this optimization, but they are not expected to gain more autonomy either.
