Official figures show that more than 4.69 billion people around the world have received at least one of the currently available Covid-19 vaccines.
Undoubtedly, the arrival of Covid-19 and its, until now, endless pandemic has caused, by far, one of the most acute crises worldwide; health, economic, political crisis, etc.
According to official figures, so far, more than 295 million positive cases have been recorded worldwide, of which, unfortunately, more than five million people have died from the disease.
In Mexico alone, more than four million infections have already been recorded since the start of the pandemic, of which more than 300 minutes have been registered as deaths due to the disease.
On the other hand, it should be noted that yesterday the country registered a new record of infections with 50 thousand 373 in a single day, which is why a call has been made to society to continue taking care of itself in times of low temperatures and before the advancement of the Omicron variant.
Now, to date, more than nine billion vaccines have been administered worldwide, of which more than three billion have completed their vaccination schedule (two doses), while in some countries it has already been started applying the third booster dose given the high level of contagion of the Omicron variant.
Cade highlights that, so far, according to data from Our World in Data collected by New York Times, of all the vaccines against Covid-19 that are available on the market, the most used is that of Oxford-AstraZeneca, which has been applied in 182 countries.
If we look at the graph deposited above, it is striking that the first vaccine to be approved in the United States and Europe is the second most used injection on the planet. We are talking, of course, about the Pfizer/BioNTech drug, which has been administered in 151 countries.
In third place is the Sinopharm-Beijing vaccine, which has been used, so far, in 86 countries, followed by the Moderna biological, administered in 86 countries.
