Magnitude of the problem in Mexico
The waiting list for an organ transplant in Mexico is 20,000 people. Therefore, those who require one must wait months or even years. In addition, other aspects such as compatibility for the exchange to take place also influence.

Despite the fact that organ and tissue donation campaigns have increased in recent years, the country has a rate of 4.5 donations from deceased brain dead per million inhabitants.
