Three years have passed since the death of Stan Lee (1922-2018), and the great column of Marvel is still present in millions of fans. His thoughts, his words, his cameos and the product of his imagination continue to be active in every movie, every series, every comic from the House of Ideas.
Hence many of his old interventions are reproduced. Recently, the Instagram account The Box of Comics showed a video of Lee talking about “the question he hated the most.”
In a serious tone, but perhaps embodying the indignant character, Stan Lee explains in detail what is the question that most infuriated him about Marvel. The response from the legendary creator of Avengers and The X-Men, among other characters, is unmissable.
We reproduce below the words of Stan Lee.
Stan Lee Answers The Question He Hates The Most About Marvel
“One question I always get asked is who would win in a fight? Who would win a fight between Galactus and the Hulk? Or if Thor faced Iron Man? And there is no answer to any of that. It’s very simple and everyone should know it: the person who wins the fight is the person the writer wants to win.
If I’m writing a story about The Thing of the Fantastic Four, and he has a big fight with Spider-Man, and millions of people say ‘who should win?’ well, it depends on who I want to win if I’m writing the script.
If I want Spider-Man to win, then he will win. If I want The Thing to win, he will win. They are fictional characters! The writer can do whatever he wants with them! So stop asking these silly questions, because I’ve had enough of them.”
