They will arrive as part of the Unicode 14.0 update.
After all the madness that was unleashed during the presentation of the iPhone 13 line in the September keynote, the long awaited moment of the launch of iOS 15 has arrived. Apple always releases a new version of its operating systems days after its usual presentation event hardware. This time the final version of iOS 15 will be released on September 20 and, a little later, Apple will provide an update with over 100 new emojis for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
A couple of months ago, in July, we already anticipated that the Unicode Consortium was working on the approval of a selection of new emojis for Unicode 14. Now the candidates have already been approved and, although we still do not know which will be the final version of each One of them, we can already take a look at what will be the new emojis that will be part of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12 and, why not? Android as well.
Among the new emojis we can find a face performing the military salute, a face melting, a face hiding in its hands, another face putting its hand to its nose to cover the bad smell, a mouth biting its lip, a nest, a troll, the Korean heart gesture, a finger pointing hand and many more.
Here are the new emojis for iOS 15
In this screenshot of Apple Insider we find some of the versions of the new emojis. In theory there is 37 new emojis, but each of them has multiple variants, making the list of new emojis up to 112.
Now that the list of emojis has been approved, it is a matter of time before each platform (Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) implements its own designs. This is expected to happen by the end of 2021.
