Lynk & Co has just unveiled the package of improvements that its successful compact SUV receives. The Lynk & Co 01 Facelift 2023 has just been unveiled, the first, and only model that is already on sale in Europe, receives the first tuning after no less than six years to come in China. An important revision that will improve its attractiveness and from which the European model will soon benefit.
More than six years for sale in China accumulates since the Lynk & Co 01, and the Asian brand owned by the Geely group has just presented the facelift to which the successful models sold in China have undergone. A package of novelties that, without being too remarkable, will offer a renewed air and an important load of technology to maintain success that it has been offering, in addition to interesting mechanical improvements.
Novelties that will also reach the European model that, despite accumulating little time for sale, does already have four years behind it, since it was presented in 2020. The Lynk & Co 01 Facelift 2023 maintains its original aesthetic essence, although it presents very specific improvements on the outside that more than one will have a hard time distinguishing, especially in the front part because in this section there is no change and all have concentrated on the laterattracting more attention.
The Lynk & Co 01 Facelift 2023 bets on an innovative HEV
Ahead, only the hybrid version that has been presented, that of the 01 EM-FIt has a grill with a newly designed decorative framework, also integrating the front view camera. From behind, the riders remain although now they have some LED cords at the ends, at the same time that the arrangement of the electroluminescent diodes of the horizontal bar that joins them and that runs through the gate has also changed. These LED segments instead of staying vertical are now horizontal also integrating the emblem of Lynk & Co within the piece.
Those of Lynk & Co have also chosen to hide the exhausts behind the rear bumper, offering a plus of elegance, also updating the color palette and the designs of the alloy wheels up to 19 inches. Inside, the novelties refer to better quality materials and an updated multimedia system with a voice assistant and 27 new driving assistantsalso adding wireless OTA updates.
But, without a doubt, what is interesting is in the engines, since the renewed Lynk & Co 01 debuts the new “E-Motive” technology with the 01 EM-F version, an HEV not available in Europe which has the 150 hp three-cylinder 1.5-liter turbo engine, associated with a 136 hp electric motor. available only with front-wheel drive, it is a hybrid that works in parallel and in serieswith electricity and with the gasoline engine as a generator to recharge the battery, also debuting a three-speed “DHT Pro” automatic gearbox. The system offers very generous features, as well as a maximum autonomy of up to 1,200 kilometers. The range will be completed in the coming months with the EM-P, the PHEV version.
