The Last of Us advances the premiere of its episode 5: HBO decides not to compete against Super Bowl LVII

The Last of Us It is a series that has caused a huge furore with each new episode released every Sunday night. In fact, each premiere of each chapter has broken relative audience records, but it seems that there is an enemy that they have not wanted to face: the Super Bowl LVII 2023.

The third episode of The Last of Us caused a stir and controversy among fans of the game who wanted an exact copy of the plot of the original title, since the production team chose to tell a completely different story.

At the same time, the fourth chapter was distinguished by giving more context to the group of hunters, creating a new character and giving more background to a vital secondary character for the next anguishing twist of the screw.

The fifth episode promises to be a beastly thing, tying up some unadapted loose ends from previous passages and getting to one of the original game’s key scenes. So it would be a shame if no one saw the premiere of the chapter because of the game.

Those who know the story of the original Naughty Dog title had the idea that they would see a crucial moment of the plot in this fourth chapter. But now everything indicates that we would see it until the next episode with some additional twists due to the new characters created.

However, this next sunday february 12Super Bowl LVII 2023 is also scheduled to take place. So HBO has made the wise decision to advance the premiere of the episode to Friday, February 10, keeping the same schedule.

So for Latin America, the fifth chapter of The Last of Us would be released in the following order on the HBO Max platform:

• 8:00 p.m. in Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica
• 9:00 p.m. in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Miami
• 10:00 p.m. in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic
• 11:00 p.m. in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay

This change is only for this date, resuming its usual opening order every Sunday on the following weekends.
