During TUDUM 2023: A Global Fan Event, Netflix presented a first look at the live action of Avatar the last Airbenderinspired by the acclaimed Nickelodeon animated series.
The story is well known. Long ago, the four nations—the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads—lived in harmony. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he disappeared. One hundred years after the war began, Avatar Aang, the last survivor of the Air Nomads, is freed and must restore balance to the world.

Announced in 2018, the live action adaptation of Avatar the last Airbender it was to be developed by the original series creators, Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino. However, both left the project due to creative differences in June 2020. Now, Albert Kim (sleepy hollow) acts as showrunner and executive producer, along with Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore and Michael Goi.
The histriones in charge of assuming the main roles of the coming Show are: Gordon Cormier (The Stand) as Aang; Kiawentiio Tarbell (Anne with an E) as Katara; Ian Osley (Physical) as Sokka; dallas liu (shang chi) as Prince Zuko; Elizabeth Yu (Somewhere in Queens) as the evil princess Azula; Paul Sun Hyung Lee (The Mandalorian) as kindhearted Uncle Iroh and daniel dae kim (hellboy) as Fire Lord Ozai.
