Fashion is one of the things that has changed the most over time. A shirt, pants, shoes, haircut or dress frequently undergo modifications that are related to the trends of what is going marking the industry.
When the differences are of months, the changes usually go unnoticed. When we go to the previous years it begins to be noticed a little more. And when we go to the decades it is much more noticeable than the previous examples.
But what happens when we see the difference from more than 100 years ago, the changes are noticeable to the point of obviousness. A way of dressing for a woman is completely different if we put examples from 1910 and 2010.
That’s what graphic artist Russel Klimas did, according to a note from 20Bits. The social media content generator took advantage of Artificial Intelligence tools to make a 30-second video showing the differences in women’s outfits over the past 100 years.
The audiovisual short is a journey through the different eras that marked the stages of fashion. It’s a kind of time travel, with a midpoint where the fashion industry exploded in an amazing way that led us to the way you dress today.
The video is titled: “Women’s fashion from 1910 to 2010″. And as an outstanding fact, the illustrator relates that “after the fashion of the Second World War exploded in many different genres every decade from the 60s onwards, I represent two fashion genres in each decade, although there were many more”.
He adds: “I wanted to come up with some new timeline presentations and this was the first one that came to mind. I have a few others ready to post,” he explained.
