Sharks, although not the most powerful creatures in the sea, are often the most terrifying. Five films in honor of what one of these animals is capable of do prove our claim.
That is why we were surprised by an event that occurred years ago, but that in recent weeks has gone viral. A huge shark swallowed a diver’s camera and then spit it out. The result is a video that could never be achieved intentionally. The shark recorded the entire inside of its body, POV: the last thing you see when you are eaten by one of these creatures.
The video belongs to a diver named Rick Rosenthal. The professional was filming tiger sharks in the Maldives when one of them bit his camera and swallowed it.

I was using a GoPro HERO7 Black camera, waterproof up to 10 meters deep. The device recorded incredible images of the inside of the shark’s stomach, including its teeth, gills and internal organs.
Fortunately, the shark regurgitated the camera a few minutes later. The device was intact and the recorded images could be recovered.
The images recorded by the camera have gone viral and have been seen by millions of people around the world. The video has given scientists a unique look inside a tiger shark’s body and has helped raise awareness about the importance of shark conservation.
