This phenomenon is expected generalized as of next week in the center, west, south, southeast, and northeast of the countryas well as in the Yucatan peninsula and the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, with an approximate duration of 20 days.

And, to a lesser extent, in Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Durango, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Yucatán and Zacatecas.
Although the heatwave is accompanied by a decrease in rainfall and a slight increase in temperatures, the SMN pointed out, not to be confused with a heat wavesince these normally occur before the rainy season.
