The GT World Challenge Europe gets back on track after the 24 Hours of Spa and a month of vacation. The endurance modality of the SRO contest debuts in Hockeneheim with a 3-hour race that is sure to offer great emotions.
It seems like forever since the 24 Hours of Spa. Far away is the victory of the #88 Mercedes of Raffaele Marciello, Dani Juncadella and Jules Gounon. However, this win is of great importance in the development of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup now that the championship returns to activity with the 3 Hours of Hockenheimfourth quote from SRO’s endurance series.
It will be the first time that the GTWC Europe Endurance Cup lands at Hockenheim, a track more accustomed to receiving GT from other series. With his victory at Spa, #88 by Raffaele Marciello, Dani Juncadella and Jules Gounon is the GT3 to beat. Among the main rivals of the Spanish car is Iron Lynx’s Ferrari #71. The couple formed by Davide Rigon and Antonio Fuoco is 11 points behind the leaders, this time the third rider in the lineup being the Italian Alessio Rovera.
There are four other GT3s that are in one way or another in the fight for the title when the Endurance Cup comes to Hockenheim. The Mercedes #2 de Luca Stolz, Steijn Schothorst and Maro Engel compete at home, while the Ferrari #51 will seek to strengthen his options for the title with Michael Molina as part of the lineup. Serious contenders for victory
Though Audi #32 of Dries Vanthoor, Charles Weerts and Kelvin Van der Linde is out of contention for the title, he is always a candidate for victory. The Lamborghini #19 is also called to be among the best, just like the McLaren #38 of the JOT team. Secondly, the #30 Audi is very close to securing the Silver Cup titlewhile the Gold Cup and Pro-Am Cup titles do not seem to be resolved at Hockenheim.
Spanish presence
In addition to the presence of Dani Juncadella in the #88 Mercedes and Miguel Molina in the #51 Ferrari, there are two other GT3s with a Spanish presence.
