Toyota has given an answer to lovers of the new GR Yaris with a special edition that will only be sold in Japan. It is the exclusive GAZOO Racing GRMN Yaris, now able to shine brighter inside and out thanks to two unique configurations: the Circuit Pack and Rally Pack, offering very special features and qualities.
Toyota has been testing the GRMN Yaris for a long time at the Nürburgring circuit, appearing and disappearing as if it were a simple test mule. The Japanese firm has just presented the new GRMN Yaris at the Tokyo Motor Show 2022, a special edition limited to 500 units of the sportiest Japanese utility, which can also become the most intense and most radical.

And it is that the base starts from the GR Yaris, the icing that crowns the range of the Japanese utility and unprecedented in the history of the model to which two more consonants have been added that, really, give an idea of what it hides under the bodywork. The GRMN Yaris stands out for the slimming cure it has undergone, with the Carbon fiber bonnet, roof panel, roof extender spoiler and fixed aerodynamic spoiler above the tailgate.
GRMN Yaris Circuit Pack, 50 very radical units
Three pieces that are presented to the eye, unpainted and that already give a more real idea that it is a true sports car with which it has lost 20 kilograms. In addition, the Japanese have removed everything that is superfluous in a model of this category: the rear bench that has been replaced by a tubular structure that is integrated into the sides and with a vertical strut on the ground that increases the torsional rigidity of the whole. These are the news of GRMN Yaris Circuit Pack, which also features a set of specific adjustable Bilstein-supplied springs and shock absorbers that reduce a ten millimeters the height of the body to the ground, in addition to more powerful brakes and up to 10 millimeters more wide inside. The bad thing about this special edition is that it is as exclusive as it is limited to 50 units. The remaining 450 units are from the GRMN Yaris Rally Pack, featuring specific stabilizer bars, special GR shock absorbers, skid plates and an inner roll bar.
The technical modifications in the chassis of the two special editions have forced to modify the dimensions, which you can see detailed below, although in both cases, sufficient modifications to offer sensations of vertigo in both configurations, and without the need to modify the powerful engine of three-cylinder and 1.6-liter turbo 272 hp, with four-wheel drive. An identical configuration between the new GRMN Yaris and the GR Yaris in Japan, with the difference of just a few horses with the European model, also sharing the change iMT 6-speed manual.
